What Requirements Does Father God Use to Measure?
Important question wouldn’t you say? First, know that our acceptance with God is granted eternally through and in Christ with faith rested in Him alone. (Ephesians 1:4-7). Therewith, He looks for fruit (measures/metrics) of our practical commitment and corresponding behavior in response to His loving design and intent that we express His image and likeness. So should we.
It is so important that we measure things by the right standard and evaluate all things with discernment of metrics (fruit) against that standard. God made man in His image and likeness. As such, He finds great delight in seeing us all whom He created reflect His nature, heart, values, and priorities.
Well here’s an answer to Father God’s standards and expectation of us.
Micah 6-8 MSG But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously.
Armed with this knowledge of Father God’s perspective, we should translate this from spiritual and intellectual/emotional ideology to everyday practice. This is the handshake between the ethereal and practical, the spiritual and natural. We make this practical in the following daily lifestyle as taught by Christ.
Luke 6:37 AMP Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”
The mark of the prize of our high calling of being made in the image and likeness of God, is to embrace and strive for this standard. We must do so mindful of our Father Creator’s mark of individuality in each of our unique and diverse designs coupled with the collective awareness of His standard inner core design of us all in His singular image and likeness.
Psalms 17:5 As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness.
This mindset, standard and metrics for living and being defines our life and existence for all time and eternity; being made in God’s image and likeness. Accordingly, to so do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. Having been saved by grace through faith, this is the horizontal and vertical measurement befitting God’s handiwork in us. This lifestyle honors Father God and fulfills the requirements of His masterpieces, zealous of good works to which we were ordained before time began.
May we govern ourselves accordingly in all of our affairs and decisions in honor and reverence of our Maker Father God.
